Our Story

Ozark pottery was founded in June of 2022. Freeman is the main artist and started working at Ozark Pottery after apprenticing at Maple Hill Ceramics for 8 years.

As a nationally award winning artist in the National Veterans Creative Arts Competition Freeman brings a world of expertise to the studio. He is currently teaching pottery created on the wheel, hand built pottery using slab, coil and pinching. And we offer Raku days and one day Raku Workshops using objects we have created on the wheel and have ready to Raku Fire.

Raku is an ancient Japanese firing technique used to create forms used in the sacred Japanese Tea Ceremony. At the Raku workshops students will have an opportunity to glaze their object or create Horsehair pottery. During the workshop history and information is presented on the Raku Firing Process.

Ozark Pottery is a full time studio open 5 days a week. We offer small 4 person classes to build a comfortable atmosphere where we all Learn, Create and Play. Limiting each class to 4 people help insure there is plenty of time for individual instruction that helps accelerate the learning process.

We look forward to meeting you, weather it’s through a one time date night, or you live locally and want to attend a 4 week class.
